Triton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach to support the head coach in developing a competitive and character-driven football program. The Assistant Coach will work collaboratively to instruct student-athletes in the fundamentals of football, promote sportsmanship, and help foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of team operations, including planning practices, game strategies, and player development.
Coach and mentor student-athletes on and off the field with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Help monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and support eligibility standards.
Supervise practices, games, team events, and travel as needed.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that reflects the values of the school and athletics department.
Support strength and conditioning programs in the offseason (if applicable).
Communicate effectively with players, parents, coaching staff, and school administrators.
Comply with all school, district, and state athletic regulations and policies.
Attend coaches’ meetings, and professional development as required.
Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching football at the high school, collegiate, or youth level preferred.
Strong understanding of football techniques, rules, and strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching staff.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive and growth-focused team culture.
Must pass a background check and meet district/school employment requirements.
