Assistant Girls Basketball Coach (DCHS)

Dawson County High School is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Assistant Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for the 2026�2027 school year.

This position supports the Head Basketball Coach in developing and maintaining a successful volleyball program while providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of basketball, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment.

The Assistant Coach will play an important role in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, while serving as a positive role model for all participants. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, supporting athlete development, helping coordinate competitions, and contributing to the overall success of the program.

Glendive Public Schools may have additional coaching and professional opportunities available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and/or experience in basketball
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to student-athlete development and well-being
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and school staff
• Willingness to support a positive and inclusive team culture
