The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Unified Basketball Coach. This is a paid position.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting the head coach with managing, organizing and administering the program. Duties include conducting well-organized practices and completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules; recruitment of athletes and unified partners within the school.
Unified Sports programs give individuals with and without intellectual disabilities the opportunity to train and compete in sports activities together as a team; the team consists of a co-ed roster with a proportional number of athletes and partners.
