Position Purpose:

Aurora University is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual to serve as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s Flag Football team. The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including coaching, practice planning, recruiting, academic support, and program administration. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and grow a competitive and inclusive collegiate women’s flag football program

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assisting in planning, organizing and conducting sessions and game strategies
  • Provide Mentorship and Leadership to student-athletes to support their athletic, academic, and personal development.
  • Aid in the recruitment of qualified prospective student-athletes who align with the mission and values of Aurora University

Essential Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3 years around flag football with youth and or girls High School.

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
  • Sound judgment and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Quick learner with great prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be dependable.
  • Ability to accept divergent views while maintaining a constructive working relationship with other team members.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work with a computer for long periods of the day.
  • Ability to attend off campus meetings.
  • Office setting, standing, walking, sitting.

Work Hours: From October 06, 2025, through April 30, 2026, an estimate of 20 hours per week.

Special Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license and driving record that meets institutional requirements is required.
  • Requires travel between campus locations or to attend off-site meetings.
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $3,000 stipend to be paid over the course of the program year. This compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the university, based on institutional needs. 

The pay range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted amount the university reasonably expects to pay for this position. The final pay rate will not be below the lowest pay rate listed herein.
