We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic orthopedic practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, is passionate about patient care, and is eager to grow into a leadership and concierge-style support role.

Key Responsibilities
Clinic Days – Direct Patient Care
• Evaluate all new patients prior to physician consultation; document comprehensive notes and physical exams aligned with the physician’s diagnostic style.
• Manage emotionally complex patient interactions with empathy and professionalism.
• Handle medication refills and clinical inquiries from the call center.
• Educate patients on physical therapy protocols and activity guidelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation and billing for work comp meds and DME codes.
• Administer injections with expertise and build patient trust in your technique.
• Triage non-surgical patients and redirect them to appropriate providers.
• Assist with patient flow, including personally escorting patients from the waiting room.
• Identify and resolve clinic workflow inefficiencies.
Non-Clinic Days – Preparation & Optimization
• Pre-call new patients to streamline charting and ensure efficient visits.
• Pre-populate charts for returning patients to expedite clinic documentation.
• Adjust clinic schedules to optimize flow and patient experience.
• Tactfully manage new patient scheduling to prioritize surgical candidates.
• Support the development of a concierge-style patient experience.
• Review upcoming surgical cases to identify and resolve potential issues (e.g., clearances, behavioral concerns, complex logistics).
• Track and follow up on labs, cultures, and unresolved diagnostics.
• Develop expertise in PRP, stem cell therapy, rejuvenation medicine, nutrition, and peptides.
Research & Academic Support
• Collaborate with research coordinators to maintain clean data sets and track adverse events.
• Enroll and consent patients for clinical studies.
• Support residents and fellows with research projects and clinical integration.
Practice Operations & Leadership
• Master eClinicalWorks (eCW) and develop templates/shortcuts to improve efficiency.
• Manage physician’s social media presence and digital outreach.
• Maintain hospital credentials and assist with documentation compliance.
• Act as a patient advocate and ambassador for the practice.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure accurate scheduling and maximize productivity.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding compensation and internal operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Licensed, Certified Athletic Trainer with orthopedic or surgical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to mirror physician’s diagnostic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Tech-savvy and eager to master EMR systems and digital tools.
• Emotionally intelligent and capable of managing complex patient dynamics.
• Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented.
• Able to travel between locations in Palm Beach Gardens and Lake Worth, and surgical facilities in Palm Beach County.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Valued)
• Experience with concierge medicine or high-touch patient care models.
• Background in regenerative medicine, nutrition, or wellness.
• Interest in practice development, operations, and strategic planning.
