Position:
Athletic trainer servicing student athletes in three seasons of sports in a four-year regional vocational technical high school with an enrollment of approximately 650 students in fifteen technical programs.
Qualifications:
●Must be licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions in the state of Massachusetts.
●Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
●Strong communication and organizational skills.
●Experience working with high school athletes, preferred.
Performance Responsibilities:
●Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.
●Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation programs.
●Collaborate with coaches, school nurses, administrators, and families to support the health and safety of student-athletes.
●Develop and oversee injury prevention programs, including warm-up, conditioning, and recovery protocols.
●Provide on-site coverage for practices and home athletic contests, with some travel required for away events as necessary.
●Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, as well as MIAA regulations, regarding athletic training and student safety.
●Maintain professional certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
●Other related duties as assigned.
