About the Position:

Pelham Memorial School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic middle school basketball coach to lead our student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for teaching basketball fundamentals, developing athletes' skills, and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.

• Teach basketball fundamentals, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense.
• Develop and implement training plans that cater to the abilities and needs of middle school athletes.
• Coach and mentor athletes to improve their basketball skills and performance.
• Organize and supervise practices and games.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all basketball players.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.

Qualifications:

• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Experience coaching basketball or related sports is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for basketball and a commitment to developing young athletes.
• Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations.

Availability:

Season runs from November 11th to the beginning of February. Monday through Friday after school hours in addition to 1 or 2 weekend days throughout the season.
