Title: Head Middle School Baseball Coach

Location: York School District 1

 

Overview:

Head Baseball Coach has specific duties and responsibilities.   Some of these duties and responsibilities include the following:

 

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Head Coach experience preferred.

 

Coaching Expectations:

 

  • Expert knowledge of the game.
  • Coordinate and supervise Middle School Baseball games
  • Help students achieve gains in athletic skills and team performance.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
  • Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.
  • Design a training program and game program.
  • React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Organize and supervise the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented.
  • Attend all Rules meetings of the SC High School League.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is continuously interacting with the public, staff and students. The employee frequently must meet multiple demands from several people. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally the employee must use hand/grip strength to operate office equipment.
