Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an immediate opening for a Head Boys Water Polo Coach.
The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated record of running a high-performance water polo program and be able to run high level practices as well as possess the ability to run a practice for novice water polo players. This position starts July 14, 2025 and ends June 30, 2026.
This candidate must be able to perform all practice functions while sharing a 10-lane pool with the girls water polo program and the boys & girls swim teams. NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion in Sports, NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, CPR/First Aid/AED certification are required. The head coach will be responsible for managing all levels (Varsity, JV, Frosh/Soph, etc.) in alignment with and dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: 3 years direct coaching experience preferred.
Stipend: $15,000-20,000 based on experience
