Description of Position:
Head Coach for JV Boys Basketball Team.
Responsibilities to include:
● Planning, Organizing and Conducting daily practices
● Assist in management of uniform and equipment distribution.
● Develop practice and game strategies in accordance with the Head Varsity Coach plan.
● Maintain adequate communication with athletes and parent(s).
● Keep Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach informed of scheduling changes, athlete and/or parental issues.
● Provide support to Head Varsity Coach as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicant Requirements:
● Coaching experience preferred.
● Applicant must have basic understanding of technical aspect of basketball.
● Applicants must have playing experience at the high school varsity, club, and/or college level.
● Familiarity with the Catholic High School League and knowledge of the MHSAA organizations preferred. Willingness to meet all League and state coaching requirements.
● Strong interpersonal skills.
● Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and parents.
● Must take Protecting God's Children workshop, background check, and digital fingerprints.
● After School availability (3:00 pm or after) for practices and events.
● Saturday availability during season.
