HS Boys C Team Basketball Coach

Chelan High School has an opening for Boys’ Basketball  C Team Coach. We are seeking a passionate coach committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values: Motivated, Open Minded, Respectful and Engaged. Salary range is $4,675 – $5,636 based on prior, documented, school district experience in the same sport. Season will be November 16, 2026 until March 6, 2027.

Qualifications to Include

• Prior coaching and/or playing experience in the sport.
• Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
• Willingness to work with staff.
• Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
• FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.

Overview of Coaching Staff Expectations

• Responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
• Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department.
