Middle School Boys Basketball Coach

Copper Island Academy is seeking a dedicated Middle School Boys Basketball Coach to lead and mentor our student-athletes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the court, supporting their growth through positive coaching, teamwork, and a focus on character.

We coach the whole athlete, preparing students for success beyond the scoreboard.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan and lead practices, beginning [1] October 21, 2025
• Teach fundamental skills, strategy, and teamwork
• Supervise and ensure the safety of student-athletes during practices and competitions
• Promote academic and personal development consistent with school values
• Communicate clearly with players, parents, and school personnel

Qualifications

• Prior basketball coaching and/or playing experience
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead youth
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Commitment to Copper Island Academy’s mission and educational philosophy
