JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Hazleton, a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach in the sport of Baseball within the Department of Athletics.

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in practice preparation, player development, gameday coaching, and recruiting when applicable. This position requires strict adherence to PSUAC, United States Collegiate Athletic Association and NCAA Division III rules. Hours are primarily in-season from January to May, but some off-season work may be required. Must be well versed in the sport of baseball with previous coaching experience preferred. This is a part-time position.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
