St. Bernard of Clairvaux, known as the “Little Gem of East Dallas”, is a PreK – 8th grade elementary school. We have an opening for an Athletic Director/PE Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
General Summary of the Position
The individual in this position will manage all aspects of the athletic program, along with teaching PE to grades PK-8. The position reports to the principal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
- Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the athletic program.
- Promote the role of athletics in the overall program of student formation.
- Oversee the procurement and organization of all athletic equipment and storage spaces
- Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the athletic program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications
- Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
- Experience teaching PE/athletics at the elementary/middle school level (experience in a Catholic school preferred).
- Experience as an Athletic Director at the middle school level. (preferred)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
