We are currently seeking Upper School Ice Hockey Coaches to join and help execute the vision of our Ice Hockey Program for the 2025-2026 winter season.
Position: Upper School Ice Hockey Coach
Reports to: Director of Athletics
FLSA Status: Stipend, part-time position
Job Summary and Duties
Duties include:
- Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new players
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan, organize and run daily practices
- Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Director of Athletics
- Supervise student-athletes during all team activities
- Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining equipment and advising Athletic Director on program needs
The winter season starts in early November. Practices will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30am-7:30am at Brunswick and Wednesdays 2:20pm-3:20pm @ Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
Travel with the team for practices and games is required.
Qualifications
The ideal coaching candidate will have experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women.
The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
