Head Girls Wrestling Coach – 2025–2026
Cottage Grove High School is seeking a Head Girls Wrestling Coach who is dedicated to building and sustaining a program rooted in our athletic mission:

Wrestling experience.
NFHS Coaching Education certified (including required annual certifications).
The Head Girls Wrestling Coach will:
Lead and consult with all levels of Cottage Grove Wrestling, including youth and feeder programs.
Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes.
Instruct and demonstrate the skills, techniques, and strategies necessary for individual and team achievement.
Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate practices, training programs, and contests.
Develop, implement, and evaluate match plans and team strategies.
Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model for student-athletes.
Work with the Athletic Director to prepare a competitive schedule and oversee fundraising initiatives.
Prepare, monitor, and manage the team budget.
Select, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
Travel and supervise student-athletes on team transportation to and from contests.
Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and inventory of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
Make recommendations regarding the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
Enforce discipline policies and emphasize sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, and positive team culture.
Supervise student-athletes at practices, contests, and events, ensuring appropriate behavior.
Ensure compliance with CGHS Athletic Department and OSAA policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student-athletes at all times, adhering to medical and safety requirements.
Contribute to the overall success of the CGHS Athletic Department by supporting other programs, assisting with event management, and engaging in fundraising efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Previous head coaching experience at the high school level.
High school teaching or professional work experience.
