Cottage Grove High School – Assistant Football Coach (2025–26 School Year)

Cottage Grove High School is seeking an assistant football coach for the 2025–26 school year. This position supports CGHS students in achieving success both athletically and academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with all levels of Cottage Grove Football (Varsity, JV, and JV2).

  • Willing to serve as an assistant coach at either the varsity or JV level, depending on program needs.

  • Effectively teach and develop the fundamental skills and strategies of football.

  • Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate practice sessions.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate game plans and position-specific strategies.

  • Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model for student-athletes.

  • Collaborate with the full coaching staff to build a cohesive and competitive program.

  • Attend all practices, games, team meetings, and events.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants should have a general knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to contribute wherever needed within the program and be open to serving as an assistant coach at the varsity or JV level based on program needs.

Compensation:
Compensation is provided through a coaching stipend and is determined based on available funding.
