The Assistant Football Coach supports the head coach in developing a competitive, positive, and growth-oriented football program. This role focuses on teaching fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, promoting sportsmanship, and encouraging academic and personal development among student-athletes.
Assist in planning and leading practices that focus on skill development, strategy, and team culture
Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes in line with school and district values
Help manage game-day operations (lineups, warmups, in-game adjustments)
Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff
Support academic accountability and monitor student-athlete eligibility
Uphold and enforce all CHSAA, school, and district policies
Attend all practices, games, and required coaching meetings
Knowledge of football rules, techniques, and coaching strategies
Prior coaching or playing experience preferred
Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
