  •   Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate assistant coach for our girls' basketball program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging environment for our athletes. This role involves developing training programs, managing team dynamics, and promoting the physical and mental well-being of all participants. The coach will work closely with athletes of various skill levels, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their personal best.

    Duties 

    • Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of the team.
    • Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
    • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
    • Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills.
    • Manage behavior effectively during practices and competitions, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
    • Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
    • Organize competitions and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
    • Stay current with trends in sports coaching, physical education, and safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a comprehensive athletic program.

    Experience 

    • Previous experience coaching basketball.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes of all ages.
    • First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.

    Salary: Stipend of $3,850-$5150
    Position is not benefit eligible.

    Work Environment:
    The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 50% walking, and 40% standing.  The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
