Job Summary
The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Twin Falls High School will support the head coach in all aspects of the basketball program, including training, strategy development, and player development. This seasonal position requires a passionate individual who is committed to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. The assistant coach will help promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and the overall growth of players both on and off the court.

Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions.
- Help develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
- Provide individual and group instruction to players to improve their skills and performance.
- Monitor and evaluate player performance during practices and games, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the head coach to maintain team discipline and uphold school policies.
- Support the organization of team events, including games, tournaments, and fundraising activities.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
- Assist in scouting and analyzing opponents to prepare for upcoming games.
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance, statistics, and other relevant data.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the basketball season.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all players.
- Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.


All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.  Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.


This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.
