Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of NCAA, Division I Tennis coaching and/or teaching experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to work a non-standard work week, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel.Position Description:
The Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University of Louisville's NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis program, including identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching: Develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, and implementing practice plans.
Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practice sessions to train and prepare for competition and instruct student-athletes in techniques of the sport.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Analyze scouting reports on all opponents.
Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violations involving self or others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience playing Tennis at a NCAA Division I collegiate level.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
