Athletic Director (EX)

The Athletic Director is responsible for the general operations of athletic programs and sports teams, including coordinating with other sports programs and athletic leagues. Their duties include preparing departmental budgets, training coaches, and creating schedules for training and sports matches.

Essential Functions

• Set a strategic vision for a school's athletic program.
• Work collaboratively with school administration to further school's philosophy and values. 
• Prepare budgets for athletic programs and allocate athletic funds.
• Provide leadership and guidance for sports activities and programs.
• Supervise purchase and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities.

Position Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience with retaining, mentoring and evaluating coaches.
• Ability to supervise the athletic department and associated personnel.
• The ability to create and manage the athletic department budget in a fair and equitable manner.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
• Coaching experience in an educational setting preferably on the high school level. 

Pay Range:  $65,000 – 75,000, Annualized
