Position Title:  Athletic Trainer / Massage Therapist (AT/MT) 

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI

Employment Status: Part-Time (at least 20hrs a week)

Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday; 8hrs per month on weekends for Reserve Drill Weekend

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Position Summary: : Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist. The candidate will serve as both an Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist for military fighter pilots, delivering injury prevention, massage therapy, and physical performance services as part of the OHWS program at Selfridge ANGB. This position is contingent upon contract award.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform initial assessments and develop individualized programs (IPs) for each pilot
  • Provide approximately two (2) 30-minute massage therapy sessions and two (2) 30-minute athletic training sessions per pilot per month
  • Accept and accommodate walk-in appointments during scheduled work hours
  • Track and report missed appointments, appointment volumes, and performance metrics monthly
  • Support ergonomic and pre-habilitation strategies to improve pilot strength and reduce neck/back strain
  • Coordinate with medical providers and maintain documentation as required
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to maintain government CAC. 

This position requires passing an extensive background check.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed Athletic Trainer in Michigan
  • Licensed Massage Therapist in Michigan
  • CPR/AED certification
  • 2+ years of experience (preferred) in athletic/orthopedic settings
  • Experience with high-performance athletes strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
