    TITLE:           Freshman Boys Socccer Coach

    SALARY:       $7,063.00

    BENEFITS:   Not Eligible

    SEASON:     August - November 2026

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • New Jersey Teacher Certificate (CEAS, CE or Standard New Jersey Substitute Teacher   Certification)
    • Current employment as a teacher or a substitute teacher in the State New of Jersey preferred
    • Demonstrated qualifications, experience, interest in and aptitude for performing the responsibilities
    • Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Able to pass the criminal history review and S414 

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coaches and motivates, with enthusiasm, individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
    • Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
    • Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms, as appropriate.
    • Works closely with the Athletic Director in scheduling interscholastic contests.
    • Ascertains that all students have had a physical examination and have returned a signed parental permission slip and any other required forms (i.e. weight certification and emergency information forms).
    • Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted and reports unsafe conditions to the Athletic Director immediately.
    • Establishes performance criteria for eligibility in the sport and administers the school award program with equity.
    • Displays and enforces disciplined and sportsman-like behavior at all times.
    • Promotes good school and community image through good relationships with the press, parents, students and citizens, keeping in mind the welfare of the participants at all times.
    • Assists student toward college placement.
    • Administers a well-articulated program in skill development, program development, and coordinated team play through pre-season planning, conditioning, scrimmage and game plan.
    • Attends clinics and seminars and participates in professional organizations.
    • Provides supervision for participants at all times, including locker, shower, and transportation areas.
    • Calls for an ambulance, notifies parent(s), and contacts trainer (when possible) when serious injury to a team member occurs during practice or athletic contest.  Anytime there is an injury, the coach will instruct the injured athlete to report the injury to the school nurse and obtain the proper insurance forms.
    • Instructs the athletes in the proper use and care of equipment.
    • Maintains the security of the equipment, facilities and building at all times.
    • Cooperates with the equipment manager in issuing and collecting uniforms and equipment.
    • Attends banquets, assemblies and awards presentations whenever team members are involved.
    • Attends all-star selection meetings.
    • Submits an End-of-the-Season Report to the Athletic Director, on the form provided, at the close of each sports season.
    • Communicates and cooperates with administration.
    • Follows all applicable Moorestown Board of Education policy.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal.
