Mountain Recreation is seeking a skilled and motivated Gymnastics Coach II with mid-level experience to join our team! In this role, Gymnastic Coach II leads and develops gymnastics programs for a range of skill levels, focusing on safe progression, technique refinement, and building athletes' confidence. Mountain Recreation is looking for a coach who brings both experience and passion, with the ability to support and inspire young athletes to reach their potential.

POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Gymnastics Coach II
Location: Edwards Field House (Edwards, CO) and Gypsum Recreation Center (Gypsum, CO)
Schedule: Part-Time; Year-Round
Work Environment: Work schedule and number of hours varies. Work can be physically demanding. The work schedule is varied and may require evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours vary depending upon specific program needs. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time, to talk and hear, to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, to provide gymnastics spotting for up to 175 pounds, climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, occasional bending or squatting. The incumbent is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Also required is frequent hearing and talking, in person and on the telephone. More than 90% of time may be spent indoors. The noise level is normal to loud in an active gymnastics’ environment.
Supervision Required: Works under the supervision of the Gymnastics Coordinators and Gymnastics Supervisor
Supervision Exercised: May supervise and mentor Gymnastic Coach I
Salary: $20.47 – $25.59/hour DOE; staff in this position are eligible for a $1/hour incentive for Spanish/English bilingual and can pass the language competency test.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable knowledge of: Knowledge of gymnastics required. Strong oral communication skills are necessary and required.
Skills and abilities: Ability to work with a diverse group of people effectively and diplomatically. Strong customer service skills are required and necessary. The ability to handle difficult situations involving participants with patience, good judgment, and with diplomacy is expected.
Requirements:
Education and experience
1. Minimum 18 years of age or older; AND
2. High school graduate or equivalent or currently attending high school; AND
3. At least one year of gymnastics coaching experience
Certifications
1. May require possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
2. USA Gymnastics Coach Certification (preferred)
