Job Summary
JPS Jackson High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Head Boys’ and Girls’ Bowling Coach. This full-time position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive bowling program that promotes athletic excellence, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sport, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for both boys’ and girls’ bowling teams, focusing on skill development, strategy, and sportsmanship.
- Organize and conduct daily practices, ensuring that all athletes are engaged and improving their techniques.
- Prepare teams for competitions, including scheduling matches, coordinating travel, and managing logistics.
- Monitor and assess athletes’ performance, providing constructive feedback and individualized coaching to enhance their skills.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
- Communicate regularly with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, expectations, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the overall athletic program and support student-athlete development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations set forth by the school, district, and governing athletic bodies.
- Maintain accurate records of team performance, attendance, and eligibility.
- Attend coaching clinics and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in coaching and athlete development.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience in bowling or a related sport at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of bowling techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check and meet all requirements set forth by the school district and state athletic association.
