Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic - Outreach Athletic Trainers
1. Appropriately assesses and examines athletes with varying diagnoses
according to the Athletic Training scope of practice, including BROC's set
standards.
2. Treats Athletes within the AT scope of practice. Provide education to patients, caregivers, coaches, etc. regarding athletic injuries and care.
3. Implement or assist with implementation for emergency action planning,
documentation, and training.
4. Responsible for applying processes that ensure overall safety of patients and
employees.
5. Maintain professional relationships with Physician Partners and related interest within the BROC system and outlying community.
6. Efficiently follows all BROC protocols and injury management algorithms
within scope of practice and State practice act.
7. Accepts responsibility for own growth and development through in-services,
required programs, in-house education, and continuing education.
8. Allocate and delegate work time effectively to make efficient use of resources and capabilities. Forecast and anticipate schedule to accommodate
market/seasonal changes.
9. Maintains professional certifications and licensure.
10. Participates in program education efforts, both internally and externally.
11. Proactively seeks opportunity for skill development for role.
12. Adhere to a personal plan of professional development and growth through
professional affiliations, activities and continuing education. Responsible for
special projects as requested by leadership.
