Varsity Swimming Coach: 2025-2026 School Year

Position: Athletic Coach

Reports To: Athletic Director

Length of Contract: Sport Season

Evaluation: Ongoing by Athletic Director

Responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce school and Board policies
• Facilitate daily practices to train student athletes in both technical and tactical skills in order to improve both individual and team performance
• Attend DCS coaches professional development workshops
• Be available for professional development opportunities (usually offered 4 times a year)
• Keep up to date on schedules by signing up for updates on Websties4sports for every sport, and by communicating with the Athletic Director
• Maintain accurate box-score information in Royalssports.com

• Maintain open lines of communication with parents and students
• Maintain confidence in and hope for the success of every student
• Speak to the heart of the student while enforcement classroom rules and School policy
• Prayerfully maintain a lifestyle that demonstrates a commitment to Christ
• Cultivate student athlete leadership within the team

Growth

• Actively promote the school in the community
• Support extracurricular activities through attendance of events throughout the school year
• Participate as needed in development and recruitment activities

Metrics for Success

• Ensure that all athletes are cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents to help foster positive relationships
• Come prepared daily

Qualifications:

- Vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ

- Proficient in both technical and tactical skills related to specific sport

- Certified in emergency care procedures (CPR, IMPACT, First Aid, and AED)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Passion for the mission of Delmarva Christian Schools
